Model T Radiators

Our Model T radiators duplicate exact original Ford specifications.  The core is also an exact duplicate of the original in tube size, arrangement, and fin spacing.  Polished brass radiators have the 1/8" horizontal brass bar in the lower section. Henry Ford's original radiator design used a seamed brass round tube in the core. Brassworks uses a seamless drawn copper tube that is a 400% better conductor of heat and removes the chance of a split seam common with early Ford Radiators. Invisible to the naked eye, reduced chance of failure and better cooling - a vast improvement over the original design.

All Model T radiators can be built with either a round-tube or flat-tube core and all come in the appropriate fin count per inch. We recommend the original style round-tube core if your car is to be judged for shows or if you wish your car to be authentic for its year of production. If you are building a speedster or a car that will be used in parades on 100-degree days, we recommend our more efficient flat-tube core. The elongated "flat" tube core design increases heat transfer surface area and provides improved cooling capacity.

Our radiators have die-stamped parts to obtain uniform flat surfaces, which are then machine buffed to a mirror finish.  The top tank is a one-piece stamping and does not have the welded cuts commonly found on other reproductions.

Parts have a radius within .006" of the original shape. The round-tube core style radiator also has a “Detroit, Michigan” identification tag on the back, and a very crisp Ford script stamped in the top tank as original.  Both the early winged Ford logo stamp and the later “script” Ford stamp are officially licensed products from the Ford Motor Company.

Livingston V Speedster Radiator

The Rome Turney Radiator Company made the original Livingston V in the early days of hot rodding and cross country racing.  It is truly a work of art in metal forming. The Brassworks Livingston V mimics the original design but we added an additional third core for structural support and enhanced cooling.
