The Penrose V Radiator was born of a customer's design request for "Livingston V like" radiator for his 1924-1927 Model T.  We sought inspiration for this design in the ancients and applied the golden ratio to create an all new v shaped construction for the 1917-1927 Model Ts.  This alternative design could just as easily also be used for the brass era model t hood shape.

We christened it the Penrose V to pay homage to the Swedish artist Oscar Reutersvärd who created the Penrose Tribar optical illusion in 1934.  The good news is that we designed it.  The bad news is that our customer abandoned his project and the radiator was never constructed.  Now we need someone else to commission it and bring it to life.

It will fit a standard Model T frame and the hood step follows the same contour of the hood placement for the model t's production year to which it has been designed.

Brass/Black Model Ts

Our longstanding foundry (supplier) closed and all production was shifted to a neighboring foundry.  Apparently many of the closed foundry's workers were ineligible for rehire by the new foundry due to more aggressive immigration enforcement and the union has no employees to provide.  As of 2-20-25, we should receive castings in March 2025 and can resume production then.

In the interim, we have been working with our one-off foundry to have pattern boxes made and these are trickling in in smaller batches and we will produce what we can.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to recruit and train new fabricators and manage the labor shortfall our country has been experiencing.
