Ford 1948-1950 Ford Script Fresh Air Heater Core

HC 48-50 ford script fresh air

Regular price $329.00

1948-1950 Magic Air re-designed heater cores use a modern efficient heater core design.

Some notes on the Ford Heaters in this period

  • There are two types of factory heaters in this period; the Magic Aire and a recirculating heater.
  • The recirculating heater did not use the air duct under the fender. It just uses the air in the cab, or as the name implies, recirculates the air.
  • An accessory heater was also available and that was a recirculating heater also. It had 3 doors on the face and was from 1948- 1950 F series trucks.
  • There are two different versions of the Magic Aire, one for 1948-1950 and the other for 1951-1952.
  • The primary difference in 1951 and 1952 is the flapper door.
  • The 1948-1950 had the triangular control bracket and the 51-52 had a straight control bracket. Both mounted under the bottom of the dash.

Brass/Black Model Ts

Our longstanding foundry (supplier) closed and all production was shifted to a neighboring foundry.  Apparently many of the closed foundry's workers were ineligible for rehire by the new foundry due to more aggressive immigration enforcement and the union has no employees to provide.  As of 2-20-25, we should receive castings in March 2025 and can resume production then.

In the interim, we have been working with our one-off foundry to have pattern boxes made and these are trickling in in smaller batches and we will produce what we can.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to recruit and train new fabricators and manage the labor shortfall our country has been experiencing.
