1908 and early 1909 Model T Radiator with Brass Shell

1908 Model T shelled radiator

Regular price

For a very brief time radiators were constructed for Ford by Paris or Briscoe  which had a removable brass shell that was tack soldered to the tank.  The shell likely has a butt jointed seam but we can produce with a hem seam.  The shell may or may not have the Ford script and some, possibly in the New Zealand and Canadian markets, may have been made with steel and/or painted black.  This production period would not likely have had the support bar through the core although this is available upon request.

Model T Radiators produced in 1908 and early 1909 utilized a water pump which was abandoned around March of 1909.  inlet casting and outlet connection are unique to 1909 and different from more common brass Model Ts.  Though they have many common dimensions to later production we have observed a wider core and support brackets.

Please measure and provide frame dimensions and mounting hole center to center if you own this early Ford car as we do not want to presume the dimension.

It is not uncommon to find later model radiator to appear on earlier cars or variation on the design.  Many of the changes to match your early Model T radiator are simple modifications so if your radiator does not match the description or you need anything special, just email us in the comments or call us directly.

This is not a common build so please call us to confirm the build.
