HC 02-06 Jeep wrangler 20 FPI
Oh No! Your aluminum heater core in your 2002-2006 Jeep Wrangler failed again because of electrolysis. We were asked to make the core of copper due to the repeated failures of the aluminum and the high labor cost to replace it.
The OEM heater core has approximately 30 fins aluminum fins per inch and is crimped to a baffled plastic header that feeds 7 1/2 round tubes in a dual pass design. This is an extremely dense core.
We originally constructed the replacement with a baffled brass tank 3/4" flat tubes and an 11 Fin per inch copper core. Some people reported the heat generation to be less. As such we have increased this to a 20 fin per inch copper core.
We make to order and our build queue varies.
