Why produce a higher flow radiator in a 1928-1929 Ford Model A? Well because we had a customer call convinced that flow was the cause of his Burtz Block overheating on the highway when it was over 90o in Texas.
This core can pass 40% more coolant and has 73.4% more fin surface than the 1928 Highland Plant Ford design.
Features of the radiator include:
Our 1928 and 1929 Model A and Model AA truck reproductions are aftermarket products. The design is based upon original drawings provided by Ford and original radiators we have collected over the last 47 years. Each radiator is tested with an original Ford shell to assure general fit, appropriate neck placement and accurate mounting bracket placement. Each 1928-1929 radiator is also tested with an original 1928 steel fan shroud to assure fitment. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the fit, finish, design or craftmanship the radiator may be returned to us postage pre-paid in new and re-saleable condition for a refund.
1928-1929 Fords had many changes, read about the ones that cause people problems. If you have modified or altered your vehicle in anyway, please order from the bespoke radiator section. If you wish to restore your OE radiator using your OE tanks, brackets and/or castings please visit the restoration section of our website to begin the process.
