1940-1941 (early) Ford Radiator Reproduction split core or "donut" (Model 1GA)

This radiator is intended as a drop in replacement and set-up for the OE engine in its production year.  The first few images shown are restored radiators.  The others are reproductions.  We can upon request construct or restore with the split core and/or donut crank pass.  The tank is shorter, the hoses lower and the crank guide through  to permit the crank is different from the later 1941.  We include the formed wire channel.

In this period Ford manufactured radiators at Dearborn (D), and also at Green Island G) and had three additional suppliers, Modine (MO), McCord (MC), and Long (L). Ford furnished those outside suppliers with top and bottom tanks (11A) to be fitted with cores.  1940 and early (~January 1941) had the top fill on the angled portion of the tank.  Later in 1941 they had a center filler cap. 

1940 passenger car, regardless of model, has the filler at an angle and a split core. There will always be "91A" stamped in the top tank. Some time around March, 1940, Ford began outsourcing some of the radiator manufacturing. At that time, the "91A' was stamped in the upper tank as well as other identifying markings that indicated the supplier to Ford. The radiators manufactured by Ford had "B1" stamped in them as well as either the letter "D" (Dearborn plant) or the letter "G" (Green Island plant). Radiators supplied by Modine had "B2" stamped in them and those supplied by McCord, had "B3".
