Skip to content35 Ford Car - deep tank - STOCK
Jan - March production with the "deep" top tank design. Ford Part 48-8005-A1 and A2, was released for production on 9-12-34. A revised release dated 5-2-35 added the A suffix to the part number and indicated that it was "for mild climates" and was henceforth to be used for production at the following assembly plants: Chicago, Twin Cities, Kansas City, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Chester, Edgewater, Somerville, Dearborn, Richmond (for vehicles destined for the Seattle District) and St. Louis (for vehicles destined for the Des Moines District). It was manufactured by McCord and Ford.
In some cases a restoration is less expensive than a fabrication. This is a complicated fabrication with many hours devoted to hand fabricating the top tank to replicate the OE die tamped pattern used in 1935. It is intended as a drop in replacement for the 1935 Ford car and set-up for the flathead engine in its production year.
If you have modified or altered your vehicle or prefer the cost savings of the deep drawn top tank , please order from the bespoke radiator section. If you wish to restore your OE radiator using your OE tanks, brackets and/or castings please visit the restoration section of our website to begin the process.
